Position Overview:

Flair Airlines is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ground Operations Supervisor to join our team. The Ground Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of ground services. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

Oversee ground operations staff, including baggage handlers, ramp agents, and customer service agents.

Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures.

Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among ground staff.

Operational Management:

Ensure the safe and timely turnaround of aircraft, including loading and unloading of baggage and cargo.

Coordinate with various departments, such as flight operations, maintenance, and customer service, to ensure efficient operations.

Monitor ground handling equipment and ensure proper maintenance and availability.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards.

Conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions for ground staff.

Investigate and report any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Customer Service:

Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues related to ground operations.

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining smooth and efficient ground services.

Collaborate with customer service teams to enhance the overall passenger experience.

Administrative Duties:

Prepare and maintain records and reports related to ground operations.

Assist in budget preparation and control for ground services.

Participate in staff scheduling and resource allocation to meet operational demands.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in aviation management or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ground operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Proficiency in using ground handling equipment and computer systems.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in ground operations and safety are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy baggage and operating ground handling equipment.

Exposure to various weather conditions while working outdoors.
