Role Summary:
The Ground Operations Supervisor will oversee and manage the day-to-day ground operations at designated airports. This role ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused ground handling services, adhering to Alliance Airlines' standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and manage ground operations staff, including ramp agents, baggage handlers, and customer service agents.
Ensure staff adherence to safety protocols, operational procedures, and customer service standards.
Conduct regular training and performance evaluations.
Operational Management:
Coordinate aircraft turnarounds, ensuring timely and efficient boarding, loading, and unloading.
Monitor and manage ground service equipment, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with maintenance schedules.
Oversee the handling of baggage, cargo, and mail, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
Safety and Compliance:
Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Customer Service:
Address and resolve passenger issues and complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained throughout ground operations.
Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders to enhance passenger experience.
Administrative Duties:
Prepare and maintain operational reports, logs, and records.
Manage scheduling, rostering, and timekeeping for ground operations staff.
Assist in budgeting and cost management for ground operations activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in ground operations within the aviation industry.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and operational procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desirable:
Relevant certifications in ground operations or aviation management.
Experience with ground service equipment and airport operations systems.
Knowledge of emergency response procedures and incident management.
