Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced pilots to join our cockpit crew. As a pilot with American Airlines, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of our aircraft, delivering the highest standards of safety and customer service to our passengers.
Key Responsibilities
Flight Operations:
Perform pre-flight planning, conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, monitor weather and air traffic conditions, and ensure compliance with all flight plans and schedules.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all aviation regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain the highest levels of safety and compliance.
Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with air traffic control, ground staff, and cabin crew to ensure smooth and coordinated flight operations.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety, and addressing any concerns or needs during the flight.
Continuous Improvement:
Engage in ongoing training and professional development to remain current with industry standards, advancements, and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
Licensing:
Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with relevant type ratings.
Experience:
Minimum of 3,000 flight hours, with extensive experience in commercial aviation.
Medical Certification:
Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
Skills:
Exceptional technical flying skills, excellent decision-making abilities, and the ability to perform under pressure.
Communication:
Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with American Airlines or other major international airlines.
Familiarity with international routes and long-haul flight operations.
Experience with specific aircraft types operated by American Airlines, such as the Boeing 777, Airbus A321, or similar.
