Job Summary:

Air New Zealand is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airline Captain First Officer (Co-pilot) to join our dedicated team in New Zealand. The successful candidate will support the Captain in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft, contributing to an exceptional flight experience for our passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Captain in all aspects of flight operations, including pre-flight planning, in-flight navigation, and post-flight procedures.

Conduct comprehensive pre-flight inspections to ensure the aircraft is airworthy and ready for departure.

Monitor and operate aircraft systems during flight, maintaining effective communication with air traffic control and other crew members.

Manage flight documentation and comply with company policies, aviation regulations, and safety standards.

Work collaboratively with the Captain and cabin crew to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience for passengers.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain proficiency and stay current with industry advancements.

Qualifications:

Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with relevant type ratings.

Minimum required flight hours as specified by Air New Zealand.

Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Attributes:

Previous experience as a First Officer in a similar role.

Familiarity with Air New Zealand's specific aircraft and operational procedures.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Commitment to maintaining high levels of professionalism and customer service.
